Visual Statement provide voice and singing coaching workshops. These workshops are designed for everyone so come along and expand your singing skills and confidence in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, you will have the opportunity to experiment with your vocal chords.

Our experienced teacher use songs from different vocal traditions and styles rich in harmony and rhythm to develop vocal skills and confidence. Everyone is welcome to take part from the experienced, less experiences to the complete singers in-the-bath only. These classes are fun and relaxing and you will be encouraged to sing from the heart!

Sheet music is provided

No music reading skills are necessary as everything is taught by ear. We use the music as a memory aid and as a map to give a sense of the shape and direction of the music, especially where harmonies are concerned. Most find that they use a combination of aural and sight skills when learning a new song.

In our workshop you will see for yourself how you can overcome the barriers of embarrassment, culminating in an exhilarating final sing-through where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts:

  • Breathing exercises help develop focus and assist with presentation skills.

  • Relaxation exercises assist with focusing your energies where they are needed.

  • Harmony and noise exercises encourage a bold approach to communication while help build an individual's confidence in their own voice and ideas.

  •  A great release.

  • Building a familiar song from scratch, working with others in the group, learning harmonies and rhythms with a great variety of material.

  • Feel the exhilaration of bringing forth the sound; for the final presentation of the music.

  • All singing is done as a group. Any fear of singing will soon disappear as a result of our experienced teacher's humorous and inspiring approach.

  • Final recording to mark your achievement.
